Degrees

What does a college degree do for you? Does it open the door for meaningful work? What is the goal of getting a college degree?

The 2022 college graduates carried an average debt of $25,921. For most students, this debt is unbearable. Instead of being enthused about the future, they slide into depression. Compared to the students from other nations—who have no liability—American students are at a significant disadvantage.

Teachers, parents, and students are the victims of a for-profit education system driven by corporate greed (financial firms) and famous brand-name institutions. It’s time to question the relevance of the current education system for the instant skills and talent needs of the evolving times.

Keep asking why a college degree is your goal until we figure out what school is for and how it will open the doors for meaningful work.
