Does senior management value what you do? 

If senior management doesn’t understand why your role matters, begin framing your work in the context of business value. Start by valuing yourself. Realize that you have a meaningful job and that it is of great importance to the organization.

Keep company with people with the same mindset, and watch their opinions about what you do change.
